BIST is an outreach program from Ozanam that provides training and support to teachers, parents, and administrators in hundreds of schools throughout the Midwest. BIST helps decrease disruptive behavior, increase teaching time, provide relief for parents, and facilitate positive changes for youth.
The Problem
A key BIST service is their training curriculum available to individuals and schools. The demand for classes outpaced the course registration and management system. The online registration did not support BIST’s business process, frequently forcing schools and individuals to register by phone and fax, which was time-consuming for the staff and popular classes were sometimes inadvertently overbooked.
The Solution
Blue Symphony worked with the BIST team to understand their unique registration and course management needs, then designed and built an online software solution customized to their requirements. We also revamped the website design, assisting with reorganizing the content and making the website mobile-friendly.
The Results
Website page views increased by 96% within the first three months of the new website launch. Mobile device visits increased by 190%. New websites visitors doubled. Class registration closes automatically when filled, eliminating overbooking. Class rosters are compiled automatically and real-time reducing class preparation time.
